SCOTS CHOOSE CAMEO SHOPFITTING, OF MANCHESTER, TO INCREASE TRADE FROM
TOURISTS. |

Scotland's beautiful landscapes and heritage make it a prime destination for holiday makers and sightseers from around the globe. These high spending travellers are now serviced by tourist and souvenir shops at every turn. Intense competition means independent specialist jewellers and gift shops vie with national and international rivals for business. Only the best retail outlets can now maintain and increase market share. This conclusion has led three specialist independents to choose Cameo Shopfitting, a Manchester based organization, to design and fit their new shops. The results are now paying dividends. Skye Jewelllery's move to bigger premises, gave Cameo plenty of scope, to create an environment to display Skye's world famous celtic jewellery. Illuminated cherry wood display cabinets and counters are set in perfect harmony with slate floor. Selkirk Glass factory shop, is quite literally a room of glass where glass blowing demonstrations attract visitors daily. Here Cameo has designed and installed illuminated cabinets with glass on all sides allowing natural light to flood through the shop. Wooden display plinths provide the ideal setting for Selkirk Glass's famous paper weights. Edinburgh gift shop close to the castle, is another bespoke design by Cameo. The craftsmen made wall units have been manufactured in a period style and stained to match the timber flooring. When fully stocked with bottles, the impression of a small library is unmistakable and perfectly in keeping with Edinburgh's academic tradition. |
